Our industry went through the toughest time and we're certainly far from back to normal. So as our small business and our staff are doing the best to recover. We wanted to explain our reasoning for the following updates and new policies.
When a client doesn't show up to their scheduled appointment...because you thought it was for a different day, booked incorrectly (didn't add nail art, booked color gel manicure instead of hard gel fill) or come in so late that we can no longer perform the service with out interfering with other clients services you are hurting our small business significantly. Your nail technician performing your services loses 1-2 hours of work, our business loses potential appointments that could have been booked in your place and our other customers lose a chance at possibly booking that appointment spot.
Please respect that our staff and business are still in recovery mode and we ask that it be respected like we try our best to respect your time. If you absolutely can not make an appointment please do not yell at our staff, get upset with anyone at the front desk, threaten our business with a negative review. We are very understanding and we are implementing these policies to keep our staff and small business afloat. Almost all businesses in the beauty industry as well as many others have policies like this in place to protect their teams. We hope you understand and consider all of our new polices reasonable and fair.

While we switch our booking to Vagaro we will be implementing new policies to better accommodate our customers.
Due to a high demand for appointments with requested nail techs coupled with a significant increase in no-shows, cancellations without adequate notice and late clients, we will now require a credit card on file when booking an appointment online through Vagaro. Multiple customers have been booking 2-3 appointments a week online and not showing up for any of them, with no phone calls or emails.
Clients who call to book an appointment will not need a card on file at the moment but will be required to have one if we feel the client is continuously not showing up or late canceling.
These new policies are to ensure that we may hope to accommodate all our clients into our nail techs busy schedules, as well as provide our clients with services in a timely manner.
Cancelling appointments without adequate notice results in businesses losing the opportunity to fill that appointment slot with appointments for other clients wishing to receive service(s). For the benefit and respect of our clients and staff, booking appointments through Vagaro or Polish'D Nail Boutique (email, social media or over the phone) will be subject to the following policies regarding cancellation:
Confirmation messages will be send out prior to the appointment and when the appointment is booked. We feel that this gives clients more than enough time to cancel/reschedule an appointment if necessary and not be subject to the above fees.
We ask that all clients arrive on time or preferably 5 minutes prior to their appointment start time. Late arrivals mean delayed service completions. If you arrive late, you effectively make every client who arrives after you receive their services late for that day. Out of respect for our staffs’ and other clients’ time, we are implementing the following policies regarding punctuality:
Please understand that we are implementing these policies for our clients' benefit. It is unfair to have clients who arrive on time wait for services because a client prior to them arrived late.
We understand that life happens. In the event of unforeseen events beyond your control that arise after booking which make it impracticable or illegal (Covid) to show up for an appointment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on Instagram or Facebook ,about the situation and we will speak with you personally.
We understand our old software was not ideal or efficient, which is what lead to our switch to Vagaro. With this new system you will get confirmation reminders, you can download the Vagaro app and set up a profile to book appointments, check your upcoming appointments, cancel/reschedule if needed and choose specific nail techs you'd like to book with.
We believe this new software will help Polish'D customers book easily and keep them up to date with their appointments while also explaining services in depth so their will be less confusion about how to book or what to book.
Starting Monday October 11th we will be switching our online booking from BEWE to VAGARO. Online booking will be disabled until Tuesday Oct. 12th.
All appointments currently booked in our old system will be transferred. Our App 'Polish'D Nail Boutique' will not longer be active for booking appointments.
Clients will now get confirmation messages for all appointments booked and are able to use the Vagaro App to book appointments from their phone.
